Reflections on A Passerby

Random musings on a lazy day

I know I haven’t posted much on A Passerby for a while. Truth be told, I contemplated shutting the site down some time ago.

A Passerby began in 2011. Initially, it was hosted on a paid server using WordPress, and I've been covering the costs for the domain and web hosting ever since. Maintaining the WordPress platform also requires regular updates.

When it came time to renew the web hosting, I sought guidance from the Holy Spirit and felt inspired to transfer the site to Substack, which is free.

Much of the content on the site isn't authored by me. While I did write some posts, most of what I shared were pieces that inspired me or that I needed to hear at the time. One day, I might review some of these posts and reflect on them again.

I realized that the content I’ve shared might be valuable to others on their journey. There are many gems in the past posts, and it would have been a waste to shut the site down.

I've also chosen to post anonymously for a reason. This site has always been about sharing the message of A Course in Miracles, not about me. The person I appear to be is an illusion; there is really only one of us, and I am writing to myself on some level. Remaining anonymous helps remind me that it’s not about me as an individual, and that what I share isn't meant to reinforce my ego.

Maybe I'll be inspired to write more regularly in the future. Until next time...
