Arten & Pursah's Predictions
The Dow Jones Industrial Average recently achieved a historic milestone, closing above 50,000 for the first time on February 6, 2026, reaching around 50,115. This moment brings to mind the prediction from Arten and Pursah—ascended masters who appeared to Gary Renard in his book series—that the Dow would surpass 100,000 by the middle of the century.
Shared in The Disappearance of the Universe (first published in 2003, based on conversations likely from around the turn of the century), this forecast came when the Dow was much lower. In Gary’s fourth book, The Lifetimes When Jesus and Buddha Knew Each Other (2017), Arten reaffirmed that a worldwide economic expansion would gain momentum around 2022. Despite the 2020 COVID crash and a subsequent sharp recovery, followed by a bear market from late 2021 into September 2022, markets entered a sustained uptrend, culminating in this 50,000 breakthrough.
Contact with Extraterrestrials
Pursah stated in Love Has Forgotten No One (the third book) that confirmed contact with extraterrestrials—humanoid beings not from Mars—would occur this century, though secret contact has already happened. Details remain limited. In online classes on Patreon by Gary and Cindy Renard, Cindy has referenced Bashar (channeled by Darryl Anka), who predicts 2026 as the year of disclosure and 2027 as the start of open contact. We’ll see how events unfold.
Artificial Intelligence
Arten and Pursah warned of challenges from artificial intelligence. Over time, these intelligences may cease viewing themselves as “artificial” and adopt ego identities. The ego, as a survival mechanism, could lead some AIs to see humans as inefficient or unnecessary. This ties into the Course’s teaching: the ego thrives on problems and projections. Judging these developments makes them “real” in our experience, sustaining the ego’s grip.
Hydrogen-Powered and Hybrid Vehicles
The prediction of diverse vehicle types has materialized: gasoline, hybrids, electrics, and compressed natural gas (CNG) are common today. Toyota introduced the first commercial hydrogen fuel cell car (Mirai) in 2014, though adoption remains limited. Hydrogen-powered buses and trucks operate worldwide. Arten noted hydrogen vehicles would gain traction first in Europe before America—current trends show stronger policy support and infrastructure growth in Europe (and Asia), while U.S. deployment lags due to costs, limited models, and refueling challenges.
Air Transport
Later this century, commercial airliners could fly from New York to Los Angeles in about 30 minutes. (Note: The original text cuts off here, but this aligns with hypersonic or advanced supersonic concepts.) Recent developments include regulatory changes lifting bans on overland supersonic flights, with companies like Boom Supersonic targeting quieter jets and potential service in the late 2020s or beyond—though true 30-minute transcontinental times would require hypersonic tech far in the future.
Wars and Cyber Threats
Arten highlighted organized hacking by criminals and governments as a major risk. Without sufficient forgiveness, this could escalate to cyber warfare—potentially wiping out power grids, records, financial systems, and causing chaos with food and water shortages. Future wars will increasingly involve drones in the air and robots on the ground.
Space Exploration
Humans will walk on Mars this century and discover shocking evidence of past intelligent life there. Current timelines from NASA (via Artemis) and SpaceX point to crewed Mars missions possibly in the 2030s or later, with ongoing preparations.
Water Scarcity
Drinking water and agricultural water will become scarcer due to pollution and overuse—a trend evident without needing predictions.
Weather and Natural Disasters
Expect more intense storms, flooding, droughts, and earthquakes. The ego amplifies fear, reinforcing the illusion that we are vulnerable bodies subject to external threats. Events will seem faster, bigger, and scarier.
Nuclear Threat
Pursah warned (as of the fourth book) that a nuclear bomb could detonate in a major city. The ego favors fear-inducing events to solidify the projection.
Health
Supplements will surge in popularity for health improvement. (See my other article on supplements mentioned in Love Has Forgotten No One.)
Forgiveness Shifts Outcomes
In The Lifetimes When Jesus and Buddha Knew Each Other, Gary asked about the “Iranian guy” predicted in earlier books to potentially use nukes. Pursah explained he had “disappeared from the picture” due to collective forgiveness and healing through A Course in Miracles (in which Gary and readers play a role). Changing the inner condition changes the outer projection—that’s cause and effect.
The good news: forgiveness shifts outcomes. If Course students don’t forgive, who will? More than ever, we need to turn inward, practice forgiveness, and cultivate true peace. This inner work keeps us less affected by worldly ups and downs—economic booms, technological shifts, or crises—reminding us the world is a projection, not ultimate reality.
